Crystal Carp Lake Fishing Regulations

We kindly ask all anglers to familiarize themselves with the Crystal Carp Lake Fishing Rules before making a reservation and starting their fishing session.

Authorized Fishery Management:

Location: Szárföld (Water Code: 08-….)

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT FOR CARP FISHING:

1. Floating Fish Mat (We provide Garda floating fish mats)
2. Wound Disinfectant
3. Carp Landing Net (Minimum 80 cm wide, fine-meshed, non-rubberized, and no rigid frame)
4. Barbless Hook (Only factory-made barbless or micro-barbed hooks are allowed)
5. Life Jacket Usage is Mandatory
6. Concrete or Stone Weights (Lead weights are NOT allowed!)
7. Boat Usage with Electric Motor Only (One boat per angler)
8. Fishing Allowed with 3 Rods

Anglers must present the required equipment upon purchasing their fishing ticket.

Equipment Rental & Purchase at the Reception:

1. Wound Disinfectant: 2000 HUF
2. Carp Landing Net Rental: 1000 HUF/day

Photography Policy:

1. A Garda floating fish mat is provided for each fishing spot.
2. Fish must not be lifted out of the water for photography!

General Rules & Regulations:

1. Entry and setting up tents are only permitted with the on-duty fish warden’s approval after check-in.
2. A cleaning deposit of 20,000 HUF per fishing spot must be paid upon arrival. This is refunded upon a problem-free handover.
3. Open fires are prohibited along the lakeshore.
4. Use all facilities responsibly and help maintain cleanliness.
5. Trimming vegetation or cutting trees is strictly forbidden.
6. Waste disposal is available at the warden’s station for a fee of 2,500 HUF per person or … HUF per bag.
7. Swimming in the lake is NOT allowed.
8. Anglers must comply with all environmental protection regulations.

Fish Handling & Protection:

1. All anglers must ensure the safe handling of caught fish, which will be continuously monitored by the wardens.
2. Fish must be stored only in the approved equipment, and photography is only allowed in the water.
3. Personal boats are allowed, and rentals are available.
4. Only electric boat motors are permitted (internal combustion engines are prohibited).
5. Bait boats are not allowed.
6. Boats may be used for baiting and line placement, but fish must be played and landed from the boat.
7. Fish must not be lifted into the boat. They should be guided to the floating weighing sling beside the boat and brought to shore slowly and carefully.
8. Rigid-framed landing nets are not allowed.

Baiting & Fishing Methods:

1. Baiting is only allowed with on-site purchased grain mix (20 kg = 4000 HUF).
2. Pellets, boilies, and tiger nuts are permitted.

5. Lead-free weights must be used for environmental protection. Only stones and concrete weights are permitted.
6. Only running rigs are allowed.
7. Braided mainline is prohibited.
8. Leadcore and leaders are permitted only in running rig setups.
9. Lead clips and fixed rigs are NOT allowed!
10. Mainline must be monofilament, minimum 0.35 mm, with a leader of at least 50 meters and 50 mm thickness (checked regularly by wardens).

Marking Fishing Spots:

1. Allowed markers: H-marker, float marker, or deep-water buoy.
2. Unacceptable markers: plastic bottles, polystyrene, or pole buoys.
3. Markers must be removed after the session.

Fishing Zones & Restrictions:

1. Fishing within 10 meters of sector or protected area markers is prohibited.
2. Do not cast into another fishing sector.
3. Fishing spots must be illuminated at night. If using a floodlight, it should be directed toward the ground, not the water.
4. A working remote bite alarm system is mandatory for night fishing.
5. Fishing is only allowed with grains, boilies, or pellets. Live bait is prohibited.
6. Fishing spots can be reserved for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 anglers.

Catch & Release Policy:

1. No fish may be taken from the lake!
2. All carp over 20 kg and catfish over 10 kg must be immediately reported to the on-duty warden.
3. Fish over 20 kg must be kept in a floating weighing sling in at least 1 meter deep water until the warden arrives.
4. Traditional carp sacks are NOT allowed!
5. Fish over 20 kg may only be photographed in the presence of a warden or lake manager.
6. Carp under 20 kg must be released immediately after photography.
7. Do not lift the fish using the landing net! After unhooking, transfer them carefully into a floating weighing sling while still in the water.
8. Waders are recommended and mandatory from April 1 to September 31.

Visitors:

1. Visitors are only allowed with the lake manager’s permission between 08:00 and 19:00.
2. Visits must be arranged at least 2 hours in advance.
3. Visitors may only park at the warden’s station; entry by car to the lake is not permitted.

1. Check-in: from 12:00 PM
2. Check-out: by 10:00 AM

Zero Tolerance Policy:

1. Any violation of the rules will result in an immediate termination of the fishing session.
