WHAT IS BARION™?

A convenient, fast, and secure way to pay with a bank card or prepaid balance.

Barion is an electronic payment service that allows you to make secure and easy payments with your bank card or a preloaded balance in our online store.

The service provider, Barion Payment Zrt., is an e-money issuer supervised by the Hungarian National Bank, with license number: H-EN-I-1064/2013.

PAY EASILY WITH YOUR BANK CARD

Registration is not required for card payments. You only need to enter your card number, expiration date, the CVC code on the back, and a valid email address.

However, if you register, you will never have to manually enter your card details again at any Barion-accepting merchant. You can pay simply using your email and password, which enhances both convenience and security.

PAY EASILY WITHOUT A BANK CARD

If you do not have a bank card, you can pay using your preloaded Barion balance, which can be topped up via bank transfer or cash deposit. Friends and family can also send funds to your balance. In this case, payment is completed by entering your email and password.

FREE OF CHARGE

There is no extra fee for the buyer when paying by bank card. Registration, the Barion mobile app, and sending or receiving money are all free. There are no monthly fees. Managing your Barion balance is also free, with no entry or maintenance fees. While there may be small fees for balance withdrawals, bank transfers for balance top-ups are free.

With the Barion app, you can track your purchases, manage your balance, and send or receive money with ease.

SECURITY FIRST

Barion servers are protected with Norton/Symantec/Verisign 256-bit SSL encryption. Before making a payment, always verify that you are entering your bank card details or password on Barion’s secure server. Your browser will display a green padlock and identify the payment page as Barion Payment Inc [HU].

Barion is PCI DSS certified, meaning it meets the strict security standards required to handle bank card data. Additionally, Barion servers are secured in compliance with the Hungarian National Bank’s regulations.
